Our commitment
Every Ngwana Mmu Group operation on a mine or construction site complies with the Mine Health and Safety Act and the Occupational Health and Safety Act. Nobody operates a machine without valid competency certification for that machine, and nobody enters a site without completing that site's induction.
Operator competency
- Machine-specific competency certificates verified before placement
- Certificate copies supplied to your SHEQ department in advance
- Expiry tracked digitally with alerts thirty days ahead
- Site-specific induction completed before the first shift
- Medical fitness certification where the site requires it
Plant safety
- Pre-use inspections recorded digitally, with photographs against defects
- Preventative maintenance to manufacturer service intervals
- Defect reporting that takes a machine out of service rather than deferring it
- GPS tracking on every unit
- Plant all-risk and public liability cover in force
Alcohol and substance
Our operators are subject to the access control and testing regime of the site they work on, without exception. Through Mining Solutions we also supply the breathalyzer and drug testing equipment that mines use to run those controls — so we understand both sides of that gate.
Digital records
Inspection records, competency certificates, insurance and calibration certificates are held digitally. When a mine's SHEQ department asks for six months of pre-use inspections, we export it rather than excavate it. This is the same system Digitech installs for clients — we use what we sell.
