Conveyor downtime is the expensive kind
A conveyor stoppage does not cost you one belt — it stops everything downstream of it. Mechanical lacing that is correctly specified for the belt thickness, tension and pulley diameter is the difference between a planned splice and an unplanned shutdown.
Send us the belt specification rather than the part number you used last time. Belts get changed, and fasteners specified against the old one fail early.
Fasteners are not a commodity
Grade matters. A high-tensile fastener substituted with a commercial-grade equivalent because it was in stock is a failure waiting for a load cycle. We supply to the grade specified and we will tell you when what you have asked for is under-specified for the application.
Standing orders and site stocking
For predictable maintenance schedules we can supply against a standing order so the hardware is on site before the shutdown rather than being couriered during it. Vendor-managed on-site stocking is a planned addition to this service.
Straight answers
Can you match a fastener from a sample?
Usually. Send photographs with a measurement against a ruler, or post us the sample. We would rather confirm than guess.
Do you supply in small quantities?
Yes. Small-scale operators are a real part of this business and we are not going to force a box of a thousand on someone who needs forty.
Can you deliver before a planned shutdown?
That is exactly what a standing order is for. Give us the shutdown date and the bill of materials and we will have it there beforehand.
