GPS Fleet Tracking and Telematics

Tracking units fitted to plant, trucks and light vehicles — so you know exactly what each machine is earning and costing.

What the service covers

  • Supply and fitment of tracking units to plant, trucks and LDVs
  • Live location and movement history
  • Engine hours, working hours and idle time
  • Fuel burn and refuelling events
  • Geofencing with alerts when a machine leaves a site
  • Monthly utilisation reporting in plain language
  • Ongoing support and unit replacement

The number that matters

Most operators know what a machine costs. Far fewer know its actual utilisation — hired days against idle days, and within a working day, engine hours against productive hours. Idle time is the quietest cost on any site: fuel burning, hours accruing toward the next service, nothing moving.

We run this on our own fleet because it is how we decide what to buy next. It is the single most useful thing a small plant owner can install.

Theft and recovery

Plant theft is a real risk in both corridors, and geofence alerts on machines that should not be moving at 02:00 have a way of paying for the installation. Insurers frequently price this in too — worth asking yours.

Predictive maintenance

Once engine hours are tracked automatically, services stop being scheduled off a clipboard and start being scheduled off actual use. That is fewer over-serviced machines, fewer missed intervals, and a maintenance record that stands up during a vendor audit.

Questions we get asked

Straight answers

Will fitting a unit void my machine warranty?

Fitted correctly, no. We install to the manufacturer's guidance and will not cut into a loom on a machine under warranty without written agreement.

What does the monthly cost cover?

The data connection, the platform, the reporting and support. We quote the hardware and the monthly separately so you can see both.

Can we see the data ourselves or does it come through you?

Both. You get your own login, and we send a monthly summary in plain language for people who would rather not log in.

Need a machine on site this week?

Tell us the job, the town and the dates. We will come back with a rate — not a runaround.
